WATERSKI & WAKE CAMP INFO
We’re excited to have you join us for a waterski/ wakeboard camp! This page should give you all the information you need for the weekend, but please ask if you have any other questions.
There will be around 9 participants with physical disabilities, supported by a fantastic team of volunteers. Some participants will be completely new to the sport, while others will have attended previous camps and be looking to build on their skills and confidence. Access Adventures staff will also be on hand throughout the weekend to welcome and support everyone.
Waterskiing & Wakeboarding
The aim of the weekend is to introduce you to waterskiing and/ or wakeboarding, and to help you ski or ride as independently as possible. We will set you up with suitable adaptive equipment based on your individual needs and disability.
To start with, you will be supported experienced instructors, either in the water with you or close by in the boat. Each method is designed to provide stability and help with balance. As you progress, we will reduce the level of support.
It’s a great setting, with everything you need on site, and a fantastic opportunity to meet new people who share a love of adaptive adventures.

Ski schedule
Participants usually have two ski sets per day. These can be scheduled fairly close together to help avoid getting too cold in between. If you still have the energy and time allows, there may also be an opportunity for a third ski set later in the day.
Each ski set lasts around 10–15 minutes. Skiers are usually divided into three groups: Group A skis from 10am, Group B from approximately 12pm, and Group C from approximately 2pm. This does mean there can be some waiting around at times, so we really appreciate your patience.
