Bike Fest

“The Event” refers to the Access Adventures Bike Fest taking place on 22nd August 2026

 

Terms and Conditions of Entry:

 

• Participants will be responsible for the roadworthiness of their own bike

• Riders partake in this event entirely at their own risk and must rely on their own ability in dealing with hazards

• This event is not a race or trial of speed but a personal challenge and as such there will be no list published for finishing time or order

• Riders are on a private excursion on public routes and the organisers take no responsibility for their conduct

• For insurance purposes, all cyclists must wear a hard shell helmet. 

• All participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times

• Riders should be competent cyclists accustomed to riding safely in the company of others

• Both off-road cycling and road cycling are activities that may involve a risk of accident or personal injury by their nature. By entering this event you are agreeing to participate voluntarily and at your own risk and will be expected to take responsibility for riding safely and within your own ability. The organisers and their suppliers will take no responsibility for any accidents or damage caused by third parties or by failure to adhere to these terms and conditions

• Participants confirm they are medically fit to take part and understand the physical nature of the event. 

• Participants consent to receiving emergency medical treatment if required during the event

• Vehicles and other property brought to this event are brought at your own risk and their security and safekeeping are your responsibility. By entering this event you accept these conditions and expressly state that you make no claim against the organisers or the suppliers

• No liability whatsoever shall attach to the volunteer organisers, promoter, promoting organisation, event sponsor, benefitting charity or any event official or member of the promoting organisation in respect of any injury, loss or damage suffered by the rider in or by reason of the event. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence

• The organisers reserve the right to amend the event format, route, timings or cancel the event where necessary due to safety concerns, weather conditions, public authority requirements or circumstances beyond their control

• The organisers shall not be liable for cancellation or alteration of the event due to circumstances beyond their reasonable control including (but not limited to) extreme weather, public health restrictions, emergency services advice or land access withdrawal

• Personal data supplied during registration will be used solely for the administration of this event and in accordance with UK data protection legislation. Details will not be shared with third parties except where necessary for event delivery or safety

• Participants may be contacted regarding future Access Adventures events unless they opt out

• Event entrants may be photographed or filmed for promotional purposes. By entering this event, you agree that your image may be used for such purposes. Participants who do not wish their image to be used should notify organisers in writing prior to the event

 

Riders should: 

 

• Participants are strongly advised to hold suitable personal accident and third-party liability insurance

• Make sure their brakes are in top condition

• Be self sufficient and in particular competently equipped to deal with punctures and mechanical failures

• Wear adequate clothing and be suitably equipped to deal with adverse weather conditions

• Obey the instructions of all the event’s officials

 

Refund Policy:

 

Entry fees are non-refundable except where the event is cancelled by the organisers, in which case refunds will be considered at the organisers’ discretion
