APPLICATION FORM & DATES COMING SOON!
On your first visit, we'll take the time to set you up with the most appropriate adaptive equipment. To begin with, you will have experienced instructors either in the water with you or nearby on the boat, providing support to ensure stability and assist with balance. As you progress, the level of assistance will gradually decrease.
Typically, individuals book two ski sets per session (each ski set lasts 10-15 minutes). Your two sets can be scheduled close together to ensure you don’t get too cold in-between.
We can provide a wetsuit, buoyancy aid, helmet and all waterski/ wakeboard equipment. You just need to bring swimwear & towel!
All waterski & wakeboard sessions are coached, encouraging progression in a supportive environment.
The lakeside setting is ideal, with the main clubhouse, accessible changing facilities, plenty of parking & lots of outdoor space. On-site accessible accommodation is also available - more information here.
Costs are heavily subsidised for disabled skiers. Prices for 1 towed waterski set (10 - 15 minutes):
Disabled British Waterski member £15
Disabled guest £20
Volunteer £20
Non-disabled guest £30
Access Adventures tries to be as inclusive as possible, but there are some limitations to ensure safety:
Waterski or wakeboard participants need sufficient grip and upper limb strength to hold the handle, as well as the ability to release it when required. Adaptive harnesses are available to support individuals with reduced grip or arm strength. Participants must also be able to understand and respond to instruction appropriately.
