Wye Adventure camp
Location: Forest of Dean, Wye Valley
Dates: 2019 TBC
Accommodation: Camping, shared tents (max 4 per tent), en-suite basic bathroom facilities
Experience: None required
In partnership with Roughriderz
Details: Push yourself out of your comfort zone with our Forest of Dean Adventure camp. Enjoy 2 days of kayaking on the beautiful River Wye, including some intro-level white water paddling. Then a day of downhill biking in the rugged Forest of Dean. We're working with Rough Riderz for those needing seated 4-wheeled gravity bikes and Pedalabikeaway for all other biking requirements. Please note: good grip is essential for the 4-wheeled gravity bikes.
All these activities are right on the doorstep of our unique accommodation - a magical campsite of eco-domes. Dinner on the deck, wood stoves to heat the water, star gazing. All the domes & bathrooms are reasonably accessible, good upper-body strength or a willingness to accept help is needed to push around the site. If you're looking for hospital-grade accessibility, then this is not the camp for you!
Donation: £290, to include:
4 nights accommodation
Kayak hire, guide & transportation
Bike hire, guide & transportation
You can bring an able-bodied friend/ relative to experience this adventure with you (this is not compulsory though). They'll have full access to all the activities, therefore the same cost will apply. We'll organise additional volunteers required.
