Activities Coordinator (seasonal) 

Location – Edge Adaptive Sports Centre, Staines, Surrey

 

Fantastic opportunity to work for a growing charity offering adaptive sports for people with disabilities. The successful applicant will enjoy a highly challenging, but equally rewarding and enjoyable summer! 

 

The role will include boat driving (for waterskiing, wakeboarding & inflatables) and course coordination. The position is varied and will include full training and support. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills, who can work well on their own or as part of a team.

 

This is a seasonal position (May – Sept 2020). Approx. 30 hours per week, flexible hours/ days (to include some weekends).

 

Pay will be based on experience and qualifications, with the possibility of on-site accommodation for the right candidate.

Key qualifications:

 

  • Ski Boat Driver Level 2 or similar RYA powerboat qualification

  • Experience within the watersports industry

  • Other relevant sports qualifications advantageous 

  • Valid First Aid Certificate

 

 

Main responsibilities:

 

  • Boat driving for disabled groups and individuals – waterskiing, wakeboarding & inflatables

  • Some course coordination

  • Oversee maintenance of the site, buildings, boat and equipment

  • Undertake minor repairs (i.e. not requiring qualified contractor)

  • Arrange emergency repairs

  • Maintain the site to a high standard of appearance
